Business Awards of Distinction
The Campbell River Chamber's "Business Awards of Distinction" is the Chamber's most celebrated event of the year. The Business Awards recognizes and celebrates the entrepreneurs and business leaders who create a successful business community and thriving business environment.

Award recipients are nominated and juried through a process that involves public nominations. The event is typically held in early fall and boasts an evening of entertainment, prestige and celebration based on the theme success beyond the lemonade stand.

This is a public event and admission is free! Please note exhibitor space is limited, please book early to avoid disappointment.

Annual General Meeting
This annual meeting occurs in the spring and features highlights from the previous year and kick off the New Year. The Chamber’s new Board is elected and sworn in.

Business Mix & Mingle Sessions
Vibrant after-hours business social events that provide an excellent opportunity for members and prospective members to meet face-to-face to establish or renew relationships as well as allow the host business to showcase their place of work.

Chamber mixers are a member benefit. Non-members are welcome to attend one mixer as our guest while you consider joining the Chamber.

Six for Lunch
Six for Lunch provides Chamber members with the opportunity for an in-depth networking experience in a small group environment. Meet or renew relationships with other business professionals, discuss current issues, and exchange insight and expertise over lunch arranged by the Chamber. We make the reservations, you make the connections.

Here is what two of our members said after participating in our first Six for Lunch event.

"It was a great opportunity to network with other business people and to inform them of the different types of errand services I offer in the community. It was nice getting to know the members at my table and the food was great too," Stu Neill, Errands-4-U.

"I found the Six For Lunch event to be well worth attending and would encourage other members to attend future lunches. It is always great to get out of the office and see what else is happening in the community, now more than ever with so many things happening in Campbell River. Thanks to Colleen and the Chamber for making this happen," Daniel Williams, RPBio. Pacificus Biological Services Ltd.

Lunch & Learn  Series
New in 2014, this multi-session training opportunity assists business growth in Campbell River through the provisions of workshops covering the basic elements of operating a small business. Seminars cover writing a business plan, conducting market research, financing, regulations, creating an online presence, negotiating, advertising, networking, managing staff, insurance, and entrepreneurship. Sessions are offered to members at low to no cost and are facilitated where possible, by local experts.  In some cases lunch will be offered as part of the session and a small fee will be charged.

Small businesses (employers with 1-50 employees) makes up over 80% of the Chamber's membership and small business is the backbone of the Campbell River business community.
