 The Campbell River Chamber of Commerce 2012 Business Awards of Distinction took place on Saturday, September 22^nd to celebrate and recognize business excellence in our community.  The event’s theme is “Success Beyond the Lemonade Stand” which recognizes and honours the foundation and fundamentals of business success. All our 2012 nominees were honoured as outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs and the award recipients were announced at the gala reception and ceremony.

Success Beyond the Lemonade Stand

The event’s theme is ‘Success Beyond the Lemonade Stand’ promoting the value of early business literacy, entrepreneurship, determination and innovation – the winning formula for business success at any age.  Many of today’s most successful business leaders started their own first business with a lemonade stand.  The success of those early lemonade stands and business ideas were the foundation for future success. Today there’s a resurgence of interest in the lemonade stand as a model for young entrepreneurs and the next generation of business leaders.
