The Campbell River Chamber's 80th Anniversary year honours the leadership, dedication and commitment of our Chamber Board Presidents and Directors over the past 80 years and celebrates the Chamber in it's role as the respected voice of business.

Members’ and Guests Reception

The Campbell River Chamber held a cocktail reception Tuesday evening in celebration of 80 years of service and support from our membership and the business community. Over 100 members and special guests, including past Chamber presidents and long standing Chamber Members (30+ years) filled the room to capacity and enjoyed sumptuous appetizers, networking and reminiscing. Maureen Kirkbride, Chair of the BC Chamber of Commerce brought congratulatory remarks on the Chamber’s 80th Anniversary noting that the Chamber was founded before the Village of Campbell River was even incorporated and commending the Chamber on its role in contributing to the growth of the community. She also congratulated the Chamber on its growth and achievements as a respected business organization resulting in recognition with Honourable Mention for Chamber of the Year 2012. Gary Thulin, Board Chair of the Campbell River Chamber, and Colleen Evans, President and CEO thanked the Chamber Members for their support and participation in Chamber initiatives. Colleen reminded the gathering; “It is your strength and your voice that give us ours.” The event was sponsored by Nyrstar Myra Falls.
