about us - president's message

Building Forward

Looking ahead - we anticipate a strong year under the guidance of our Board through their insights and expertise. We always welcome your comments and concerns and look forward to offering an even better Chamber than ever before.

Our new Executive Director, Colleen Evans, hit the ground running demonstrating her community-building skills and her ability to move the Chamber forward in a very short time in many positive directions. She and our office administrator, Ann LaCasse, have created one of the most respected Chambers in the province and they also would welcome your input and comments to help them move our Chamber even further forward in connecting, growing and improving your business and our business community.

Focusing on our strategic priorities and goals will ensure we are pro-active in optimizing our competitive edge in leading the way on issues that are poised to impact our business community - businesses both large and small.

Additionally, we will continue to develop a results-oriented relationship with the City of Campbell River and are prepared to grow our presence as the voice of business locally and in our region.

This is an exciting time to be involved with the Chamber as a member. Your input is needed to ensure that Campbell River is the best place to live, work and invest now and in the future.

We encourage you to become actively involved with the Chamber as a member and consider volunteer opportunities to help us achieve these objectives. In the coming months we will host task forces to address issues and support building the solutions that will help our community prosper.

You will find our strategic planning goals and policies for the 2009 year in this website and once again, we ask you for your support, comments and questions to help us help you. Wishing all of you a very prosperous year,

Respectfully,

Andy Leitch
President
Campbell River Chamber of Commerce
