About Us - who we are

  • What is a Chamber of Commerce?
    The Campbell River Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization comprised of businesses, professionals, residents and community groups working collectively to ensure a healthy economic base and positive socioeconomic structure that benefits Campbell River. By being united, we are a voice that is heard and recognized.
  • How is the Chamber governed and managed?
    The policies and 'ends' related to the Chamber are determined by its Board of Directors, who are elected by the membership. Annually the Chamber sets goals, establishes a budget and implements a program to support the goals

    The Board employs staff who are responsible for organizing and executing Chamber programs and promoting Board policies. A significant amount of Chamber work takes place in volunteer task forces and through committees.
  • Who finances the Chamber of Commerce?
    Our Chamber receives no government funding and relies solely on membership dues and other fundraising events to support its activities. This independence from government funding frees the Chamber to be a strong, independent advocate on behalf of our members.
  • Why join the Chamber of Commerce?
    The Campbell River Chamber of Commerce fosters a positive business environment by providing members with leadership, advocacy and services of value.

    We take on issues that affect you and your business. Members benefit from full-time representation and year-round results.
  • Where are we located?
    We are located at 900 Alder Street in the Enterprise Centre
  • What are the hours of operation for the Chamber?
    Our hours of operation are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed on statutory holidays and for a week between December and January.

    Our summer hours (July & August) are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
