As part of the Wei Wai Kum First Nation, the Campbell River Indian Band provides housing opportunities, education, health care information and ongoing support for Band members. They also provide important opportunities for young people to learn about Wei Wai Kum culture and customs through traditional native dance and language classes. The Campbell River Indian Band is an integral part of the social fabric of Campbell River, participating in community functions and including the community in traditional First Nations celebrations. Campbell River Indian Band has enjoyed success with a variety of economic development projects including the Campbell River Cruise Ship Terminal, Discovery Harbour Marina and Shopping Centre, House of Treasures native art and gift shop and the Thunderbird Campground. The Band is always receptive to new project ideas; please contact us for more information.
